VOICES
After-School Program
Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s):
We are pleased to offer your daughter the opportunity to participate in the Voices After School program. You are receiving this application packet because your child’s teacher believes that she would benefit by participating in this free after-school program. Please read the following program information to determine if you would like her to participate in the after-school program.
VOICES offers girls and young women in grades 4th-8th grade an after-school program that will equip and empower them with the tools necessary to become leaders. This program was developed to provide them with the opportunity to learn and develop self-confidence, self-worth and new skills in a safe non-judgmental environment. Each program will be taught by local community members who want to offer their time and knowledge to help youth on their path to becoming confident and successful young girls and young women. Being a member is strictly voluntary.
Voices is broken up into two age groups:
An INFORMATIONAL Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at the Hope Church.
If you would like to enroll your daughter in the program, please complete the attached Application (Transportation Permission Slip for Lakeland Students).and mail it to: Voices 220 N. Michigan Ave. Coldwater, MI 49036 or bring it to your school counselor by Friday, October 13, 2023. We look forward to a fun and exciting year and hope she can join us! After-School Program

Voices is broken up into two age groups:
- Young women in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will meet each Wednesday beginning October 16TH from 1:45 - 3:15 p.m. (Early Release) or 2:45 - 4:15 pm (late Release) at Hope Church (formerly Coldwater Free Methodist Church) (CFMC) 200 N. Fremont St. (there is no religious affiliation). Girls usually walk to the church from Legg Middle School. Parents will need to provide transportation home.
- Girls in grades 4th and 5th will meet each Wednesday beginning October 16TH from 2:45-4:15 p.m. (Early Release) or 4:00 - 5:30 pm (Late Release) also at Hope Church. Girls will be transported to the program by the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence (BCCADSV) and parents will need to provide transportation home. A transportation Permission Slip is attached.
